Thanksgiving is coming up! One of the best holidays of the year, in my humble opinion. No gifts or cards to buy. No fireworks to launch. No Midnight Mass to attend. No New Years resolutions to think up. (Then break!) No Memorial ceremonies to attend. Yes, Thanksgiving is a pretty laid back holiday! Pretty much all that is required is cooking a big turkey, and watch the Cowboys play football, (Where is that Cowboy defense?) Well, maybe one more thing. BE THANKFUL! After all, isn't that what THANKSgiving is supposed to be about? About every year, I have to remind myself this is what it's all about.
OK, what am I thankful for this year? I have a list. I know there is no way it can be complete. But these are the things on my mind at this time. Here goes.
I am thankful for my two daughters.
I am thankful for my wife and business partner of 30 years.
I am thankful that we all are in good health.
I am thankful that our business is succeeding in a time when many are not.
I am thankful that my sisters are able to care for our Mother over in Louisiana.
I am thankful for the awesome family members that I have.
I am thankful for the many friends that I have.
I am thankful for the customers that allow Kelli and I to serve as their insurance agents.
I am thankful that God has blessed me with all of the things above, and so much more than I could ever list.
It will be a good day on Thanksgiving! How could it not, with the list above?
What will you be thankful for this year?
